Cavan 2005 Senior Mens and Ladies, Master Mens and Ladies Road Race
Championships
Team P Elliott AC hosted the 2005 Senior and Masters Roadraces on Sunday 10th of April. The Mens event started at the Lavey Inn, Dublin road, and took a 10k route to the Killygarry GAA track facility. Running conditions were ideal,with calm weather and a dry road surface. Noel Carroll, Shercock AC, won comfortably in a time of 34min.30sec, with fellow clubmates Michael and James Muldoon occupying the minor placings . Albert Eakins of Shercock AC continues to dominate long-distance running in Co. Cavan in the Masters category with victory in a very impressive 38mins.07sec. Louise Reilly of Annalee AC lead from the start in winning the Senior Ladies 3k event . Anne Donohoe of Team Elliott held the challenge of Shercocks Geraldine O Reilly to capture the Ladies Masters title.
